Before I tackled a more social aspect of females, I wanted to explore the physical aspects. The female body is something of great beauty and power so it only felt right to begin with a life drawing study. By finding models and photos of women on the internet, I began to use bold lines and curves to quickly sketch out parts of the body such as the torso, breasts, hands and legs. I enjoyed this process and thought it was a good starting point. I also wanted to have a little play with colour, so I took my favourite sketch and painted it in a more vibrant and bold manner.
